Finals, projects and papers!

I'm pretty much done with the mad rush of project deadlines, final papers and final exams that accompany the end of any school semester. It'll be nice to have Term 7 done with because the accelerated schedule and my fairly heavy workload at ISB is demanding and... I'm pooped!

Next week is a continued placement week for the ISB students, but for exchange students this means a nice week off between Terms! We are planning to head up north to Rajasthan - where the cities of Agra (Taj Mahal), Jaipur, and Delhi are. It's called the "triangle" because so many people make the route to visit all the famous monuments. We're also heading to a city called Udaipur, lots of lakes and scenery I heard. I need to catch up on my India geography because I've been so flooded with schoolwork that Grantland has been kindly doing all the travel arrangements for our upcoming trip. We're be tackling the Indian railway for the first time (Ooty doesn't really count because it was a miniature "toy train").

And, how could I forget? We've been invited to TWO Indian weddings! Not of ISB students, but their relatives. It's been a goal of Grantland's to attend an Indian wedding while we're here because they are legendary in the traditions observed, the dancing and the dress. So generous to invite us! We're making plans to attend BOTH!

It hasn't been all work and no play though... gotta eat to live, right? So since many of the exchange students are only here for Term 7, there's been a slew of goodbye dinners. A nice way of sampling the yummy restaurants around here, and there's a lot. More posting on that later.

Hopefully I can catch up on all the blog posting I've been neglecting when we get back on Feb. 23/24 in the slightly calmer first week of school. We'll definitely get the pictures up ASAP!

Also, my dad is coming to visit the last weekend of February, and we've got a work friend (hi Vinh!) coming to visit in March! And Holi, the Indian holiday where everyone throws powdered color on each other!
