Back in San Francisco

We are back in San Francisco. We flew into LAX via vaustralia, a branch of Virgin Atlantic. Inside Australia they are known as Virgin Blue, and just recently they expanded to fly to Los Angeles. As a result there were some amazing deals - we scored a round-trip ticket for approximately $700 per person. This was actually cheaper than a one-way ticket to LAX, which was $1,000! (what's up with that pricing scheme?)

The airplanes were really new with excellent service. The entertainment consoles were similar to the ones we experienced with Emirates:

So we're back to reality and life as usual - working (or looking for) and our apartment in the Inner Sunset. Sorta of sad, but it's really great to see our friends in the Bay Area again.

I'm hoping to continue posting to this blog on topics I didn't have time to adequately cover while on the road and use this space as a way to update you guys (family and friends) on our going-ons.
